It was a type of short-necked plesiosaur, known for its massive head and powerful jaws, which were filled with sharp, conical teeth. With its strong and efficient flippers, the Pliosaurus was an excellent swimmer and a formidable predator of the ancient seas. It could grow up to 40 feet long, which is longer than a school bus, and its bite was one of the most powerful ever, enabling it to feast on large prey, including other marine reptiles!
